The LEGO Movie is Available on Digital HD Sooner!

Looks like we are going to be able to watch The LEGO Movie sooner than latter on Digital HD. On Easter Warner Bros. announced it to come on June 17 but it looks like we can download it on May 20 on Digital HD!

Synopsis: "The LEGO (R) Movie" is the first-ever, full-length theatrical LEGO (R) adventure. The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet (Chris Pratt) an ordinary, rules- following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

I want to speak on behalf of the people who are not LEGO fans. Those of us who haven’t played LEGO as kids can be skeptical about this movie. There is a question, why is everyone so pumped up about this movie? That’s what I felt entering theaters.

So this is my brief review of it. The LEGO Movie has creative visuals and awesome action sequences. This LEGO world is very big. The LEGO Team seems to have spent great amount of time building it (great job, guys!).

As for the story, it is creative, happy and good. Flexible storylines make it more unexpected. You never know what is going to happen. Anything can happen. Despite the limitations in movement of the LEGO figures this movie has, it is full of imagination and creativity. It is the most imaginative movie in years.


Although I am not fond of LEGO and might have not laughed as hard as others did during the movie, I felt like I had a great time. I enjoyed it.

The second theoretical animated feature film of 2014, The Lego Movie, is getting praise from the critics! It currently has 22 fresh reviews and is (for the time being) 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. It is uncertain if it will stay 100% all the way, but it does give a surprise to some people. Here is what Rotten Tomatoes critics say about the movie -

Boasting beautiful animation, a charming voice cast, laugh-a-minute gags, and a surprisingly thoughtful story, The Lego Movie is colorful fun for all ages.

The Lego Movie assembles in theaters on February 7, 2014.

A Good Start

The upcoming animated movies are getting some early positive review on Rotten Tomatoes. The Lego Movie directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller duo currently has 1 fresh review on Rotten Tomatoes. Peter Debruge from Variety says:

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller irreverently deconstruct the state of the modern blockbuster and deliver a smarter, more satisfying experience in its place, emerging with a fresh franchise for others to build upon.

My most anticipated movie of 2014, Mr. Peabody & Sherman currently has 2 fresh reviews from Rotten Tomatoes. Mark Adams from Screen International says:

An action-packed animated romp that will attract - and maybe even educate - a young audience, and might even strike a chord with reluctant older adults who recall the original cartoons from the 1960s.

And Andy Lea from Daily Star says:

Witty, beautifully animated and surprisingly educational, DreamWorks' time-travelling adventure should impress kids and parents in equal measure.
