Untitled Smurf Movie Delayed

A year ago, the new animated 'smurf' movie was pushed back to summer 2016. Unfortunately, the 'smurf' reboot has delayed a year yet again. The new release date is March 31, 2017.

Working Hard!! (Kelly Asbury on the Smurfs Reboot)
I believe people in Sony Pictures Animation care a lot about their movie that they want to deliver the best product to the people. So, to all smurf fans out there; be patient and lets hope for the best smurf movie!

Frogs & Toads, Good or Evil?

Frogs. What interesting creatures they are. I myself, am too scared to touch them. We have seen them in animated movies and they are best show to us as villains. Let me tell you why.

There is a man in our military department who looks like a toad, a mean toad. I sometimes see the similarities between people and the animals. Some people are like tigers and other are like lizards. Try to imagine it yourself, look around you.

One Hundred and One Dalmatians, 1961
This man walked like a toad walking with two legs and he was hot tempered and liked to bully and pick on weak ones. Smiling at day and going crazy at night. A frog would be a great villain in an animated movie.

What kind of roles did frogs and toads play in animation? A mad toad in Flushed Away, a cool gentleman-like frog in Meet the Robinsons, private-eye in Hoodwinked, a lousy frog prince in love from The Princess and the Frog, and an another mad toad in The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.

Flushed Away, 2006
The Toad in Flushed Away was most intriguing. he was a villain that made me hate-love him.

In the future, I would love to see frogs or toads to be shown as awesome mad villains. They would be real scary villains of all time.

What do you think. Are frogs better as good or evil?

Minions, 2015
Minions, 2015
Minions are small, yellow creatures who have existed since the beginning of time, evolving from single-celled organisms into beings who have only one purpose to serve history's most despicable masters. After accidentally destroying all their masters, including a T. Rex, Genghis Khan, Napoleon and Dracula, they decide to isolate themselves from the world and start a new life in Antarctica. By 1968, the lack of a master drives them into depression, so Kevin comes up with a plan to find a new one. Joined by the rebellious teenager Stuart and kid Bob, they arrive at a villain convention, where they compete for the right to be henchmen for Scarlet Overkill, a stylish and ambitious villain determined to dominate the world and become the first female super-villain. Travelling through New York City, they end up in London, where they must confront a threat to the existence of all Minions. (Source: Wikipedia.org)
Minions opens on theaters on July 10, 2015 in the U.S.

Shorts Review #2 | Toy Story That Time Forgot

Toy Story That Time Forgot is an another spectacular addition to the Toy Story franchise. This is the second television special to air on ABC after Toy Story of Terror!
Toy Story That Time Forgot, 2014
During a post-Christmas play date, the Toy Story gang find themselves in uncharted territory when the coolest set of action figures ever turn out to be dangerously delusional. It's all up to Trixie, the triceratops, if the gang hopes to return to Bonnie's room in this Toy Story That Time Forgot.
Toy Story That Time Forgot is full of character and beautiful to look at. Hilarious in speech and action.

We are introduced to new toys; the 'Battlesaurs'. They remind us of Buzz Lightyear when he was a deluded in being a space ranger.

Every scene is a delight to watch and has that Toy Story vibe in it. What cracked me up was when unexpectedly the battlesaurs sang their theme song. It was then when I realized that Pixar had the potential to do a musical.

Toy Story That Time Forgot is not a must-see short but it does feel delightful and pleasing. For anyone who is a Toy Story fan like me should go and see it.

Kid-centric Flaw

What makes us separate animated movies as classics and un-classics? Those movies that we prefer to call as classics have something in common; they make us watch it over and over again and it's still fun. Un-classics, on the other hand have this 'kid-centric flaw'. This flaw is made by filmmakers who make movies just to please kids and hope the jokes work.

by @RoriComics
Let's have a look at two DreamWorks films; Shrek and Mr. Peabody & Sherman. Without doubt you are more familiar with the name like 'Shrek' than 'Peabody'. The ya re both creative and well made films, however, one is famous beyond compare while the other has never been people's favorite choice for a movie-night.

Let me tell you why. Mr. Peabody & Sherman  tries to please kids with overacted facial expression and 'puns' that had never really worked to the grown-ups. On the contrary, Shrek showed great care and attention to both to the kids and the grown-ups. If Peabody's expressions was exaggerated, Shrek's was real-like expressions based on how the character feels.

In conclusion, I personally, want to see movies that last for ages. Not just movies for kids but one that could be still be enjoyed to the general audiences. Some movies tend to seem mad in a rush of time. It's pleasing if a kid enjoys the film but if the movie has this 'kid-centricness' into it it can no longer be taken seriously.

Welcome Back Home

It is unfortunate when an animation company is not doing well and therefore struggling for survival. The only way to make it good again is to go back home and start over.

Home, 2015
DreamWorks Animation's Home is the only way to show the world that the company still has the heart of Shrek and the courage of a dragon.

Three things that excites me for Home is; the music, animation, and the time of work dedicated for this film.

Home opens on March 17, 2015.
