Something smells so good with this movie. New style of animation. Revolutionary. I wish the music video was a little bit longer.

Why The Dam Keeper Project Excites Me for Future Animation

I recently had the pleasure meeting Erik Oh, the direct of PIG: The Dam Keeper Poems, as he present some episodes of the series he was directing. The Dam Keeper is a short film made by Daisuke Tsutsumi and Robert Kondo former art directors of Pixar. It's a beautifully made film and brings back 2D animation with style.

Why this short film and PIG: The Dam Keeper Poems got me excited was because they are currently working on a full feature length film of the short film and other projects are included in the pipeline. This project feels unique and stays apart from today's Hollywood animated films. With the unique choices of color and story that relies more on the visual aspect than the heavy dialogue current animated movies have, The Dam Keeper project is certainly something to look out for! I can't wait for it!
