The studio behind Coraline, ParaNorman, and The BoxTrolls, LAIKA, celebrates its 10th anniversary.

LAIKA, the award-winning animation studio nestled in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, celebrates 10 years of bold and memorable filmmaking this month. For a company whose name means “little barker” in Russian, Portland, Oregon-based LAIKA has made quite a noise in the global film industry over a relatively short time. With its world-class filmmaking team, LAIKA pushes the boundaries of family entertainment and animated movies, redefining what stories can and should be told through the art form. Storks is an upcoming American 3D animated comedy film directed by Nicholas Stoller & Doug Sweetland and written by Stoller, based on his own idea and developed by Warner Bros. Animation under the Warner Animation Group banner. Kelsey Grammer, Andy Samberg, Keegan-Michael Key, and Jordan Peele are providing the voices to the film.

Desperate to deliver this bundle of trouble before the boss gets wise, Junior and his friend Tulip, the only human on Stork Mountain, race to make their first-ever baby drop - in a wild and revealing journey that could make more than one family whole and restore the storks' true mission in the world.

'Soar' Short Film by Alyce Tzue

A cross between Miyazaki and Pixar, SOAR is an award-winning 3D animated movie about a young girl who must help a tiny boy pilot fly home before it's too late. 

Soar was created as Alyce Tzue's thesis project in school. What began as a toil of love by first-time filmmakers ended up catching the eyes of festivals all over the world. Soar is the proud 2015 Gold Winner of the 42nd Student Oscars, Best Student Animation Winner at Palm Springs, Finalist at the Student BAFTAs, and has screened in the Hamptons, St. Louis, Seoul, Austin, and more.

The Soar team is beyond grateful for your support. We believe the film's surprise success is proof of its message: when you put in everything you've got, sometimes you achieve more than you ever expected.

There are plans to make Soar into a feature length film inspired by the sensibilities of Hayao Miyazaki and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince.
